Before you start

For the best results, follow these steps before starting your face scan.

  1. Face the light

    Stand facing a window or soft room light. Avoid bright lights directly above or behind you.

  2. Hold your phone at eye level

    Keep the camera directly in front of your face. Do not hold the phone too low or look down at it.

  3. Move slightly back

    Move slightly back so your full face fits inside the oval.

  4. Remove obstructions

    Remove sunglasses, hats, masks, or anything covering your face. Reduce glare from glasses where possible.

  5. Keep your face relaxed

    Keep your face relaxed, your eyes open, and hold the device still during the scan.

Bright room light is not enough — your face must be evenly lit.

When you are ready and your face is clearly visible, start the face scan.
